V60 Electronic Parking Brake Failure

Hey, I'm having a heck of a time with my 2021 Volvo V60 gasoline. The electronic parking brake is totally kaput! The dashboard is lit up with warning lights, and I've got an error message stored. Basically, the handbrake is completely useless. Anyone else seen this? It feels like I'm trying to stop a train with a bicycle!

I had similar issues with my V60. Does the error memory specifically point to the brake caliper? If so, it's likely the electric motor within the caliper itself. Common problem.

Yeah, the error code does mention the brake caliper. So, the motor in the caliper, huh? Is that a big job to fix? And is it something I could tackle myself, or am I better off letting the pros handle it? Think of me as someone who can change a lightbulb, but not rewire the whole house!

Confirmed, it's almost certainly the electric motor. While technically DIY-able, you'll need some specialized tools and the know-how to properly bleed the brake lines afterwards. Plus, you'll likely need to clear the error codes with a diagnostic tool. My recommendation would be to get a quote from a trusted workshop.

Thanks for the heads up! Sounds like this is one of those jobs best left to the experts. I'll get a quote from my local mechanic. Appreciate the help!
