V60 Starting Stalling Issues

My 2020 Volvo V60 (gasoline engine) has starting and stalling issues at 94325 km. The check engine light is on, it runs rough, and fuel consumption is high. OBD-II scanner shows a fuel system fault. Could it be the fuel pump? The fuse is fine. What diagnostic steps do you recommend?

I had similar problems with my V60: rough idle, stalling, the whole deal. Before you tear into it, check the cable and plug connection to the fuel pump. A loose connection caused havoc for me. Check that before you suspect the pump; it's a common and easy fix.

Can you give me more details on the cable and plug location, signs of damage/corrosion, and needed tools?

The fuel pump connector on mine was accessible under the rear seat, driver's side. No special tools needed, just something to pry the seat up. Look for green corrosion or cracked wires. If it's not that, it could be the pump. Eliminate the simple stuff first. If you're not comfortable, get it checked at a workshop to save yourself a headache.

I inspected the fuel pump cable and plug connection and found corrosion on the connector. After cleaning the contacts and applying dielectric grease, the symptoms and error code disappeared. The engine starts and idles smoothly now. The total cost was 95€ for cleaner and anti-corrosion spray. Thanks for the help.
