V60 Windshield Wipers Not Working

Hey, I'm having a frustrating issue with my 2017 Volvo V60 (gasoline engine). The windshield wipers have completely stopped working. Nothing happens when I use the wiper switch. I scanned the car and there's an error stored related to the wiper motor circuit. I've checked the fuses and they seem fine. I'm thinking it might be a faulty wiper switch or a bad connection somewhere. Has anyone else experienced something similar with their V60 or another Volvo model? Any ideas where to start digging deeper?

Hmm, strange one. You say you checked the fuses, but did you actually test them with a multimeter, or just look at them? Sometimes they can look okay but be broken. Also, does your V60 have a rain sensor? Maybe that's playing up and interfering somehow?

Good point about the fuses, I only visually inspected them. I'll get the multimeter out and properly test them. And yes, it does have a rain sensor. Where exactly is that located and could that really cause the wipers to stop completely, even when I manually try to activate them with the switch?

Yeah, those rain sensors can be temperamental things. It's usually built into the rearview mirror mount on the windshield. Honestly, though, if the wipers aren't working at all, even manually, and you've got an error code, it does sound like a deeper electrical problem. Might be best to bite the bullet and take it to a workshop before you start messing with things and potentially make it worse.

Thanks for the advice! I tested the fuses with a multimeter, and they were fine. So, I took it to a workshop, and they found a defective cable/plug connection to the wiper motor. Repair cost me 95€. Appreciate the help!
