V70 Cruise Control Failure

Cruise control on my 2008 Volvo V70 diesel has stopped working. I'm getting an error message on the speedometer, and it won't engage. Diagnostic scan shows a stored error. I'm thinking it might be a cable or plug issue, but wanted to get some advice before I dig in.

I had a similar problem with my V70. Check the throttle body actuator and its wiring harness. A bad connection there can cause cruise control failure and trigger an error. Also, check the steering wheel controls for loose connections or damage.

Thanks! Could you tell me where the throttle body actuator is located and what signs of a bad connection I should look for? Any info on locating the steering wheel controls would be great too.

The throttle body actuator is usually on the throttle body itself, near the intake manifold. Look for frayed insulation, corroded connectors, or loose pins on the wiring. The steering wheel control connections are under the airbag, so I wouldn't try fixing that yourself. I'd recommend a workshop for that. My repair cost 95€.

Thanks for the help! I'm going to take my V70 to a workshop to get the cruise control sorted out. Sounds like it's more complicated than I want to deal with myself. Thanks again!
