V70 rough idle and stalling

Hey, I've got a 2003 Volvo V70 with a gasoline engine that's giving me grief. The check engine light popped on, and it's running rough, especially at idle where it sometimes stalls. Also noticing some jerking when accelerating. I suspect the fuel pressure sensor. Anyone else seen this?

Sounds familiar! I had similar issues with my V70. Rough idle, check engine light, the whole shebang. Have you checked the cable and plug connection to the fuel pressure sensor? That was the culprit for me. Give it a wiggle and see if anything changes.

Interesting, thanks for the suggestion. Where exactly is that sensor located? I want to start by checking the connections before replacing any parts. Any clues on what I should be looking for—corrosion, loose wires, etc.?

It's usually located on the fuel rail. Yes, corroded contacts are a common issue. Seriously, if you can't find any visible flaws, go to a workshop/mechanic and tell them about the fuel pressure sensor. It will be the best thing to do.

Thanks! I appreciate the insight. It turned out to be the fuel pressure sensor cable; a wire was indeed corroded. I got it replaced for 95€ and now the engine is running perfect.
