V90 Alarm Communication Fault

Thanks. I haven't explicitly checked the battery voltage, though the car starts fine. Could a slightly degraded battery still cause communication problems with the alarm siren specifically? Anything else I should be checking on the wiring before taking it in?

Yeah, even if it starts fine, a slightly weak battery can mess with sensitive electronics. If you're already suspecting the wiring and connections, and you're not super comfortable digging around, honestly, it might be worth just getting it checked. I ended up doing that and they found a corroded connector. Cost me less in the long run than chasing ghosts.

Understood. Good to know about the battery and corroded connectors. I'll schedule a diagnostic appointment. The workshop estimated the repair around 95€, for anyone else who runs into this.

V90 owner here. I had a similar gremlin with my alarm. Started throwing errors and the alarm just wouldn't arm. Have you checked the basics like the battery voltage? Sometimes low voltage can cause weird communication issues.
