V90 Engine Stalling

I have a 2020 Volvo V90 with a gasoline engine and I'm having some issues. The check engine light keeps coming on, and the engine occasionally stalls at idle. I'm suspecting it might be related to the tank ventilation valve. Anyone else experienced similar problems?

I have a V90 as well, and your description rings a bell. If I'm not mistaken, you might be facing a clogged EVAP system. Did you by any chance check the hoses connected to the tank ventilation valve for any signs of blockage or damage? The pressure sensor might be affected by this.

Thanks for the quick reply! I haven't specifically checked the hoses for blockages. Is that a common issue with the V90? And is it something I can easily inspect myself, or would it require special tools?

It's not unheard of for debris to accumulate and clog the ventilation hoses over time, affecting the EVAP system's proper operation. I wouldn't necessarily call it common, but it's definitely a possibility with the mileage your vehicle has. While you could try to inspect them yourself, accessing the valve and hoses might be tricky without proper tools and knowledge. A visual inspection might not be sufficient. I recommend visiting a qualified workshop to have it properly diagnosed and addressed. Ignoring it might lead to further complications.

Thanks a bunch for the advice! I took it to the shop, and you were spot on – clogged hoses in the EVAP system. They replaced the hoses and cleaned the valve. Total cost was around 175€. Runs like a charm now!
