Vauxhall Adam Battery Sensor Fault

I'm having some battery issues with my 2013 Vauxhall Adam (gasoline engine) with 88072 km on the clock. I've noticed the battery is heavily discharged. I'm getting an error message in the speedometer, the lights are weak and flickering, and the error memory has a stored error related to low voltage. Starting the engine is a struggle. I've checked the battery terminals, and they seem clean and tight. I suspect the battery sensor might be defective. Has anyone experienced something similar?

I had a similar problem with my Adam. Low battery warnings all the time. Have you had the battery tested? Could just be an old battery.

Thanks for the quick reply! The battery is only a couple of years old, so I wouldn't expect it to be completely dead already. Plus, the error message specifically points to a battery sensor fault. Did your Adam also show any specific error codes or just the low battery warning?

I just got the low battery warning. But after they replaced the battery sensor, everything was back to normal. It's probably best to take it to a workshop to have them check the sensor and the electrical system.

Thanks! It sounds very similar indeed. I took your advice and booked it into a workshop. They confirmed it was the battery sensor and replaced it. Cost me 315€, but the car is running perfectly now. Really appreciate the help!
