Thanks for the suggestions. I haven't checked the spark plugs yet, but I will take a look. Is there a way to test the catalytic converter without specialized equipment? I'm not well-versed in automotive diagnostics.

Testing the cat without proper tools is tricky. If your mixture is too rich for a long time, you could damage it. Given all the symptoms, especially the stalling and jerking, my gut feeling says it's beyond a simple spark plug issue. Honestly, I'd recommend taking it to a workshop before you end up with a bigger bill.

I appreciate your input. I took the car to a mechanic. It turned out to be a defective fuel injector, as suspected. The total cost for the repair, including parts and labor, was 515€.

Those symptoms sound really annoying, especially the stalling. I had a similar issue with my old car. Have you checked the spark plugs recently? A fouled plug can mess with the air-fuel ratio and cause a rich mixture. Also, is your catalytic converter working properly? Just throwing some ideas out there.
