Vectra Stalling Issue

Hi, I've got a 2000 Vauxhall Vectra diesel with 104612 kilometers on the clock. I think I've got a fuel level sensor fault. The check engine light comes on and off, it sometimes stalls at idle, and there's an error code, but I haven't decoded it yet. I checked the fuse box, but I don't know if there's a fuse just for the fuel level sensor on this model. Any ideas?

I had something similar happen with my Vectra. Check engine light, stalling... drove me nuts! Does the fuel gauge seem to be acting erratically too? The level jumping around, especially when the tank is low?

Thanks for the quick reply. The fuel gauge seems fine; it's not moving about strangely. What exactly happened with yours, and what did you do to fix it?

Okay, so maybe it is a different thing altogether. My fuel gauge was all over the place. Still, the stalling issue sounds familiar. If the gauge is working fine, it might not be the sensor itself, but something in the fuel system. Honestly, I ended up taking mine to a workshop to sort it out. Saved me a lot of headache.

I took it to a local workshop, and it was a faulty fuel level sensor. They replaced it, and it cost 52€. The check engine light is off now, and it's no longer stalling. Thanks again for your help.
