VelSatis brake booster pressure sensor issue
Summary of the thread
A 2008 Renault VelSatis owner experienced weak brakes and an error message indicating a brake booster pressure sensor issue. The problem was suspected to be related to incorrect brake bleeding by a garage. Another individual with a similar experience suggested that the pressure sensor might be the cause and recommended a workshop visit. The workshop confirmed the sensor issue, replaced it, and resolved the braking problem.

Thanks for the quick response! It's mostly consistently bad, but sometimes it seems to be slightly better for a short while. Did yours behave the same way? Any ideas what could be the problem?

Yes, that sounds exactly like what I experienced. It's likely the pressure sensor, but incorrect bleeding of the system can definitely cause issues with it. To be safe, I'd recommend getting it checked out at a workshop.

Thanks a lot! I took it to the workshop, and you were right. They confirmed it was the brake booster pressure sensor. They replaced it, and it cost me 90€. Brakes are working perfectly again! Thank you for your help!

I had a similar issue with my VelSatis. Same symptoms: warning light and poor braking. Was the braking performance consistently bad, or did it come and go?
