VelSatis diesel engine issues
Summary of the thread
A 2004 Renault VelSatis diesel experienced increased fuel consumption, reduced power, stalling when idling, and smoke during acceleration. These symptoms suggested a potential issue with the injection system. However, the problem was identified as a defective cable or plug connection, which, once replaced, resolved the issues, restoring the vehicle's performance.

Thanks. Any more details on what the problem was with your Opel Vectra?

Turns out it was a defective cable or plug connection on the component. Get it checked at a workshop.

Thanks! The workshop found a defective cable, just like you said. They replaced it, and it now runs smoothly. Cost me 95€. Thanks again!

Sounds familiar. Had something similar with my old Opel Vectra. Was the air filter.
