I checked the codes, and it's DPF related. Excessive soot or malfunction. Was your issue the DPF, and what did you do?

Sounds like we're in the same boat. It was the DPF for me. I tried cleaning additives, but they didn't do much. Had to take it to a workshop. They said it was beyond saving. Get it checked professionally.

Thanks for the advice. My mechanic confirmed the DPF is defective. Replacement cost 1550€. Thanks for your help.

Hey! Similar thing happened with my VelSatis (newer model). Engine light, felt like towing a boat anchor, and more smoke. Did you check the engine light? What codes are showing?
