VelSatis oil level sensor error
Summary of the thread
A 2006 Renault VelSatis with a gasoline engine is experiencing an oil level sensor error, indicated by a warning light and error message. The issue is likely due to a faulty connection or damaged wiring related to the oil level sensor. Cleaning the connections may not resolve the problem, and a professional diagnostic is recommended. Thanks. The error happens more and more. Did you try anything besides checking the connections? Did you fix it yourself, or need a shop?

Cleaning the connections didn't help me. I took it to a shop. They said it was a bad connection. Replacing the wire fixed it. Since yours is intermittent, a shop diagnostic might be best.

Thanks for sharing. I went to a shop, and they said it was a bad cable/plug connection, like you thought. It cost 95€ to replace it. The error is gone now. Thanks again for the help.

I had something similar with my VelSatis. Does the error happen sometimes, or all the time? Did you check the oil level sensor connections? See if the sensor sends a steady signal, and look for wire damage.
