Venue anti theft alarm malfunction
Summary of the thread
A 2023 Hyundai Venue is experiencing an anti-theft alarm malfunction, with the alarm being non-functional and an error present. Possible causes include a power issue or a sensor glitch. A suggested solution is to check if the alarm system is coded to activate optical locking, as this could interfere with the system. Visiting a workshop for reprogramming the alarm system to stop optical locking resolved a similar issue for another owner.

Optical locking? That's a very interesting thought! How did you figure out if your alarm was coded that way, and could this mess with other stuff? I'm really puzzled.

Well, it was just a guess, honestly! But it seems the common issue is the alarm system activating the indicators. The dealership told me that it could be a software issue. I just took it to a local workshop. Worth the 45€ they quoted!

Thanks for sharing! Looks like a workshop is the next step. I'll mention the coding thing. They reprogrammed the alarm to stop the optical locking, and that fixed it!

Whoa, sounds familiar! I had a similar problem with my Venue. Was your alarm coded to activate optical locking (indicators)? Is that even possible? I also got a false alarm situation for a couple of days. Could that be connected somehow?
