Venue Charge Air Temperature Sensor Fault
Summary of the thread
The issue involves a check engine light and a whistling noise in a 2021 Hyundai Venue diesel, with an error code indicating a charge air temperature sensor fault. The wiring appears intact, but there may be a problem with the cable or plug. A similar case suggested cleaning the sensor contacts to address potential corrosion. Ultimately, a workshop visit confirmed a defective cable at the sensor plug, leading to the resolution of the problem.

Thanks! I sprayed the contacts, but maybe not enough. Did the error code specifically mention 'airflow sensor,' or was it generic like air temperature or charge pressure?

It was airflow related, but the mechanic said it affected charge temperature readings. The error was caused by a defective cable. I'd go to a workshop.

Took it to the local workshop. Defective cable at the charge air temperature sensor plug. Repair cost 95€.

Sounds like my old Opel Astra. Check engine light, power loss. No whistling, but error codes pointed to a faulty airflow sensor. Try cleaning the sensor contacts. Could be corrosion.
