Venza Multifunction Steering Wheel Failure

My 2021 Toyota Venza with a gasoline engine has 131807 km on it. Recently, the multifunction steering wheel stopped working. None of the controls work, and there's an error stored. Could this be a steering column issue?

Sounds frustrating! I had a similar problem with my old BMW 3 series. The steering controls went haywire. Did you check the cable connections in the steering wheel? It might be a defective connection.

Thanks for the quick reply! Where exactly should I be looking for this cable connection? Is it easy to access?

On my BMW, it was behind the airbag. I'm not sure about the Venza, but it's likely in a similar spot. Honestly, I'd suggest getting it checked by a workshop. Turns out, a faulty cable connection was the issue on my car as well.

Thanks for the help! I took it to the workshop, and you were spot on – faulty cable connection in the steering wheel. Repair cost was 95€. Steering controls are working again!
