Climate control panel is completely dead on my 2010 Hyundai Veracruz, diesel engine! I've got an error stored, the heating is barely working, and the AC won't even turn on. The report says it's likely a defective cable or plug connection. Has anyone else had this?

Sounds frustrating! I had a similar issue with my old Saab. The whole climate control system went haywire. Did you check the fuses related to the blower motor and the temperature sensor? Sometimes it's the simple things. Also, give the wiring harness a good look-over. Any signs of corrosion or damage?

Thanks for the reply! I did check the fuses, they seem to be fine. I'll take a closer look at the wiring harness, but where exactly should I be looking? Is there a common spot where the cables tend to fail?

On my Saab, it was near the blower motor resistor. Those connections took a beating from the heat and vibration. Honestly, without proper tools and knowledge, chasing wiring gremlins can be a huge pain. If you're not super comfortable with electrical work, I'd suggest taking it to a workshop. Could save you a lot of time and potential headaches.

Thanks a lot! I suspected as much. I booked it in at my local garage. Turns out it was indeed a corroded connection in the wiring harness, as you suspected. They cleaned it and replaced a dodgy connector. All fixed for 95€! Appreciate the advice!
