Verso passenger seat electrical issue

Passenger electric seat on my 2010 Toyota Verso diesel is dead. OBD reader shows a seat error, but no details. Visual inspection didn't reveal wiring issues. Could a discharged battery cause this? Mileage is 146845 km. Any ideas?

Sounds like a pain. I had something similar with my Verso's seat. Check your battery first – modern cars are like computers; a low battery throws everything off. Is it struggling to start at all? Otherwise, check the seat wiring harness under the seat, see if anything's come loose.

Thanks! The car starts fine, so I dismissed the battery. Your similar issue – was your battery actually the cause, even with normal starting?

Well, the starting was fine, but my battery was on its way out and causing voltage drops that messed with the electrics. If you're sure the battery is good, get it to a workshop. They'll have better diagnostics. It's like chasing a ghost otherwise.

Thanks. Workshop found battery voltage dropping due to aging battery. Battery replacement and error reset came to 290€.
