Vezel oil pressure warning

I've got a 2023 Honda Vezel hybrid with about 147k km. The oil pressure warning lamp is on, and I'm hearing mechanical noises. Oil level seems fine. Could it be the oil pressure sensor, or should I try a different oil?

Summary of the thread

A 2023 Honda Vezel hybrid exhibited an oil pressure warning light and mechanical noises, despite the oil level being adequate. Potential causes discussed included a faulty oil pressure sensor, clogged oil filter, or more severe issues like engine bearings. The problem was ultimately diagnosed as a defect in the oil pump, which required professional repair.

I had a similar issue with my Vezel. Did you check if the oil filter is clogged? I had the same symptoms!

Interesting! How did you figure out it was the oil filter? Did you notice any other symptoms, or just the light and the noise?

I took it to a workshop and they told me. It could be something worse like engine bearings. It's best to get it checked before it gets worse. I would not drive it in that state.

Turns out it was a defect in the oil pump, and the repair cost me 755€. Definitely something I couldn't have diagnosed myself!
