Vezel rain light sensor issue
Summary of the thread
A 2023 Honda Vezel owner experienced issues with the rain-light sensor, affecting the automatic wipers, auto headlight control, and speedometer dimming. The problem was identified as bubbles forming under the gel pad on the windshield where the sensor is located. The suggested solution was to have the gel pad replaced at a workshop, which resolved the issue.

Thanks for the tip! Bubbles under the gel pad, you say? Is it something easily visible? And is replacement of the gel pad a DIY job or workshop?

Yes, the bubbles are usually visible if you look closely at the sensor area from the outside. As for fixing it, I wouldn't recommend doing it yourself. Best to take it to a workshop; they have the right tools and knowledge to replace the gel pad properly and recalibrate the sensor. It's a delicate procedure. You don't want to damage the windshield.

Appreciate the advice! Took it to the workshop, and you were spot on. Bubbles under the gel pad. They replaced it, cost me 62€, and now everything's working as it should. Thanks again!

Hey there! I've got a Honda Vezel too, and your issue sounds familiar. I'd suggest checking the gel pad on the windshield where the sensor sits. Bubbles forming there can mess with the sensor's readings. Could be the culprit.
