Vios Overheating Electric Fan Issue

Alright, car enthusiasts, I'm at my wit's end! I have a 2020 Toyota Vios with a gasoline engine, and it's giving me a major headache. My engine's overheating, and I suspect it's the electric fan not working properly. I've checked the fuses, and they seem fine. Could it be a faulty cable or plug connection to the fan? I'm really stressing about this. The car has 147833 km. Any ideas?

I had a similar overheating issue on my Vios. Check the fan relay and the temperature sensor as well. It could be a bad connection causing the fan to not kick in when it should. Any luck?

Thanks for the suggestion! Where exactly is the temperature sensor located, and how can I test if the relay is working correctly? Any tips or a link to a guide would be fantastic, really appreciate it!

The temperature sensor is usually near the thermostat housing. As for the relay, just swap it with another relay of the same type in the fuse box and see if the fan starts working. If that doesn't help, you might need to get it checked at a workshop. I had to replace a corroded connector in the end.

Thanks a bunch! I took it to a local mechanic, and you were spot on! It was indeed a defective plug connection. Cost me 95€ to get it sorted. Appreciate the help!
