Vios Power Window Failure

Hi, I have a 2011 Toyota Vios with a gasoline engine. My power windows suddenly stopped working and can no longer be operated. I checked the error memory and there is an error stored. Could this be related to a faulty window regulator? The car has 171447 km on the clock.

Hey! I had a similar issue with my Vios, though I never checked the error codes. Does it happen on all windows or just one? When mine went, it was just the driver's side window that wouldn't budge. Check the fuses first, that's the easiest thing to rule out.

Thanks for the tip! It's all the windows that don't work anymore. Where exactly are the fuses located? And which one should I check? Is it marked?

Ah, if it's all the windows, it might be a different issue than mine was. My Vios only had the driver's side fail. The fuse box is usually under the steering wheel or in the engine compartment. There should be a diagram showing which fuse is for the power windows. But if all windows are dead, maybe it is a defective switch. Honestly, I'd take it to a workshop. Sounds more complex than a simple fuse.

Thanks, I appreciate the advice. I took it to a mechanic. It turned out to be the power window switch, as suspected. Cost me 200€ to repair, but at least it's fixed!
