Vios Sun Blind Failure
Summary of the thread
A 2002 Toyota Vios has a sun blind that is stuck and not retracting or extending, with an error code indicating a potential issue. The suspected cause is a defective motor. A similar case confirmed the motor as the problem, suggesting that repair at a service center is the appropriate solution.

Thank you. No unusual noises came from the sun blind before it failed. Is your Vios showing the same symptoms? Did you also get an error message?

Yep, same deal. No noises, just quit working one day and threw an error code. Ended up taking it to a workshop; they confirmed it was the motor. Looks like you're on the right track. Good luck!

I appreciate the confirmation. Your experience validates my assessment. I'll arrange the repairs at a qualified service center. Thanks again.

That sounds familiar. I've got a Vios too, and my car blind acted up the same way. Did it make any weird noises before it stopped working?
