Volvo S60 Diesel Engine Problems

I am desperate. My 2017 Volvo S60 diesel is exhibiting some worrying behaviour. The check engine light comes on intermittently, it stalls at idle sometimes, and engine power is noticeably reduced. The car has only done 35682 km. Fuel injection problem, perhaps?

That sounds familiar. I had similar symptoms with my S60. Have you noticed any change in fuel economy? Maybe it's a faulty car sensor?

Yes, the fuel economy seems to be down, now that you mention it. Which sensor was defective in your case?

I didn't get to the bottom of it myself, to be honest. I took it to a workshop and they identified the fuel volume regulator as defective, likely caused by a defective high pressure pump. I suggest you do the same.

Thank you. I appreciate the suggestion. Indeed, the high pressure pump appears to be the root cause, and the fuel volume regulator defective. The repair is costing me 1510€, which is a bitter pill to swallow.
