Volvo V40 Blower Motor AUC Sensor Issue

Hi, my 2013 Volvo V40 with a gasoline engine is giving me grief. The blower motor isn't working, and after a bit of digging, I suspect it might be related to the AUC sensor. Has anyone else had issues with this?

AUC sensor, eh? Hmmm, that's usually a BMW thing... Are you getting any weird smells or is the auto recirculation acting up? Could be a dodgy connection to the sensor itself. I had a similar issue on my old Ford Focus, turned out to be a corroded plug. Check the wiring and the plug going into the sensor. Where's the sensor even located on the V40?

Thanks for the reply! I haven't noticed any weird smells, just the blower not working. Where exactly should I be looking for the AUC sensor on the V40 to check the connection?

Okay, no smells is helpful. Now, Volvo and air quality sensors... Right, so it's probably near the intake, maybe by the cabin filter. If fiddling with the plug doesn't fix it, it's workshop time. I suspect a defective cable or the sensor is toast. If that's the case, it ain't that cheap. I'd say you need to go to your local mechanic to get it checked. But start with a visual, give the sensor plug a wiggle. That sometimes helps.

Cheers for the advice, much appreciated! Turns out it was indeed the AUC sensor, cable or plug issue. Got it sorted at the workshop for 95€, all working now.
