Thanks for the suggestion. I haven't tried a forced regeneration. Mostly, it's city driving with short trips. Could that be the main contributing factor?

Yeah, short city trips are DPF killers! Mine ended up needing a replacement. If a regeneration doesn't solve it, I'd recommend getting the exhaust system checked at a workshop. Could be the filter is beyond cleaning.

Understood. I appreciate the advice! I took it to the workshop, and they confirmed the diesel particulate filter was defective. Replacement cost me 1550€. Thanks again for your help!

Hey! I had similar symptoms with my V40 (diesel too). Have you tried forcing a DPF regeneration? Sometimes a good long drive at a consistent speed can clear it out. What kind of driving do you usually do?
