Volvo V60 Mixture Preparation Error

Alright, I'm officially losing it with my 2020 Volvo V60 gasoline engine. Check engine light is on, and it's throwing a mixture preparation error. I've got about 201525 km on the clock. The car's running rough, feels like it's lost a ton of power, and it's jerking like crazy when I try to accelerate. Sometimes, it even stalls at idle! I've checked the intake manifold for obvious leaks and gave the throttle body a quick clean, but no dice. Could a dodgy oxygen sensor cause this kind of havoc? I'm pulling my hair out here!

Sounds familiar. I had similar symptoms with my V60 a while back. Reduced power, rough running, the whole shebang. Did you check your injectors? That's where my problem was. I was getting a rich mixture and the engine was not happy about it.

Injectors, huh? That's interesting. How did you pinpoint that as the issue? And were all of yours bad, or just one or two? I'm trying to avoid just throwing parts at it, but this is driving me nuts.

Well, the error codes pointed towards fuel trim issues, and after swapping out a couple of spark plugs I still had the issue. So, I took it to a workshop and they did a proper diagnostic, including flow testing the injectors. Turns out one was spraying erratically. They recommended replacing them all to avoid future problems. Just get it checked, you may save some time and money.

Okay, injectors it is. Thanks for the tip! I'll get it to the shop and have them take a look. I was hoping it was something simple, but I suspected it was something deeper. Ended up costing me 515€, but at least it's running smoothly again. Much appreciated!
