Thanks for sharing those details about the SCR catalyst and emissions system repair. Had similar issues with my Amarok but it turned out being a bit more complex since the entire wiring harness to the dosing module needed replacement. The mechanic also found corrosion in some connectors that triggered those dashboard alerts. Mind if I ask what the total repair cost was in your case? Also curious if you experienced any other problems since getting it fixed. My emissions control system has been working fine for the past months but always good to know what to watch out for.

Just got back from having my Touareg fixed at the workshop last week. The fault with the AdBlue tank output to the dosing unit was successfully repaired, costing 250€ total including parts and labor. The SCR catalyst system has been working flawlessly since the repair. The emissions control system is now functioning exactly as intended, no more warning lights or starting issues. Unlike your case, my wiring harness was intact, so just needed the connection between tank and dosing module fixed. The technician confirmed the fuel efficiency is back to normal levels. Since the repair, all DEF fluid levels are being properly monitored and injected. No additional problems have surfaced with any part of the emissions system. The regular checks show everything is operating within normal parameters. I do make sure to use high-quality AdBlue now to prevent any future dosing unit issues.

Wanted to update that I finally had my Amarok checked and fixed at the dealership yesterday. The SCR catalyst and injection system repairs ended up being more complex than expected. My total bill came to 780€ with the wiring harness replacement and new connectors for the diesel exhaust components. Higher than your repair costs but at least the tank capacity sensors and emission controls are working properly now. The mechanic showed me where moisture had gotten into the electrical connections causing the corrosion. Makes sense why just topping up the AdBlue fluid wouldnt have solved anything. They did a full system test after repairs and everything passed the emission standards checks. Pretty relieved to have this sorted even though it was pricey. The vehicle starts perfectly now with no warning lights. Will definitely keep an eye on the AdBlue system and get any future warning lights checked right away rather than waiting.

Had similar emission standards issues with my 2019 VW Touareg TDI. The symptoms matched exactly, multiple warning lights and injection system errors related to AdBlue delivery. The root cause was not the AdBlue fluid level, but rather a faulty dosing module between the tank and injection point. The dosing unit had become contaminated and clogged, preventing proper diesel exhaust fluid delivery. This affected the entire emissions control system. This is a serious issue requiring professional diagnosis and repair. The fault prevents the engine from starting as a protective measure to maintain fuel efficiency and meet emission requirements. DIY refilling will not resolve the underlying problem. The repair involved replacing the complete dosing module and cleaning the AdBlue tank. The system needed full recalibration using specialized diagnostic equipment to restore proper function. The fault is relatively common in VAG diesel vehicles with SCR systems. Getting it fixed promptly prevents additional damage to the emissions control components. Proper repair restored all system functions and cleared all warning messages. Based on these symptoms, recommend having it properly diagnosed at a workshop with VAG diagnostic capabilities rather than attempting DIY solutions.
