Mine was the same, sensor just packed it in. The whole collision avoidance thing went mental. Honestly, just get it to a workshop and have them take a look, probably just needs a clean or recalibration.

Took it to a workshop, and the sensor was dirty. Cleaning cost 45€, but the system works now. Thanks!

I had something similar with my Wind. Bloody annoying. Was it chucking it down with rain when it happened?
