Windstar AC Temperature Sensor Issue

I'm having trouble with my 2001 Ford Windstar with a gasoline engine, currently at 117919 km. I keep getting errors that point to a bad temperature sensor in the heat exchanger. It's showing an error in the memory, a message on the speedometer, and the AC won't turn on. I think it might be the AC control unit. Anyone else seen this?

I had something similar happen with my Windstar. Check the sensor calibration. Is your temperature gauge acting erratically too? It could point to the same issue.

Yes, all those symptoms were identical. The air conditioning refusing to switch on was the most frustrating part, especially in summer. Honestly, I'd recommend getting it checked at a workshop; it could save you a lot of time and potential further damage.
