Windstar mirror heating issue

My 2002 Ford Windstar with a gasoline engine has a mirror heating issue. It's not working, and I'm getting an error code. Suspect a bad connection somewhere.

Oh man, that sounds annoying! Electrical gremlins are the worst. Did it start happening after some particularly cold weather? I've heard the heater elements in those mirrors can be fragile. Have you checked the fuses?

Fuses are fine. Cold weather could be a factor. Where exactly are the connections for the mirror heaters? I'd like to inspect them.

Yeah, cold can definitely do it. Honestly, tracing those wires can be a real pain, especially with the error code popping up. It's probably a frayed wire or corroded plug somewhere between the mirror and the car's computer. If you're not super comfortable with auto electrics, might be worth getting a workshop to take a look.

Thanks. I'll check the connections if I can find them, but probably will end up at the shop. Seems like a 95€ job.
