I'm kinda freaking out. I've got a 2000 Ford Windstar (gas engine) with only 42933 km on it, and the oil pressure warning light keeps coming on! Plus, there's a warning light lit up on the speedometer and the car threw an error code when I scanned it. Could it be the oil temperature sensor acting up? I'm hoping it's not a major engine problem!

Whoa, hold on a sec, panicking won't fix it! Oil pressure light AND a stored error? Hmmm, does the oil pressure light come on immediately, or only after the engine's been running for a while? And what error code did the scan tool give you? That'll really help narrow things down. The oil pressure light seems to come on after the engine warms up a bit, maybe like 10-15 minutes of driving? As for the code, I can't remember the exact number right now, but it definitely mentioned something about the oil temperature sensor circuit. Is there any way to check the sensor myself, like with a multimeter or something?

Thanks a bunch for the help! I was worried it was something catastrophic. I'll check the connections as you suggested, but probably take it to a shop if that doesn't fix it. Turns out it was, indeed, the cable connection as you correctly predicted. The guys at the workshop fixed it for 95€. Thanks again!
