Windstar Throttle Valve Issue

Alright, I've got a head-scratcher. My 2001 Ford Windstar with a gasoline engine is throwing me some curveballs. We're talking throttle valve issues, I suspect. Symptoms? Reduced engine power and the dreaded check engine light. I'm sitting on 227011 km. Suspect it might be the accelerator pedal module or some faulty electronics inside. Anyone else seen this before?

Reduced engine power and a check engine light, eh? Sounds familiar. Had something similar happen with my old Opel Astra. Could a faulty throttle sensor be the culprit? Did you check air intake for any blockage or leaks?

Air intake is clean, no visible leaks. Throttle sensor readings seem off, but not completely erratic. That Opel Astra...did it also throw a code related to the throttle?

Yep, pretty much the same deal. Drove me nuts for a bit. I'd suggest getting it hooked up to a proper diagnostic tool at a workshop. Might save you a ton of guesswork.

Good call. Took it to the shop. Turns out it was the accelerator pedal module as I suspected. Replacement cost me 265€. Thanks for the advice.
