Winner DPF Issue

My 2005 Nissan Winner diesel is acting up. Getting reduced engine power and smoke when accelerating. Mileage is at 241587 km. Suspect it's the DPF. Anyone else had this?

Winner eh? I had similar symptoms but it was the backpressure sensor! Drove me crazy for weeks. Is yours throwing any codes related to that or regeneration?

No sensor codes, just the performance issues. Does that rule out the sensor then? What did fixing it cost you? I fear the worst...

It doesn't rule it out but maybe it's the DPF. I'd get the exhaust system checked out by a workshop -- they'll have the right tools to diagnose it properly. Don't want to just throw money at parts and hope!

Thanks. Workshop confirmed DPF failure. Quoted 1550€ for the repair. Ouch!
