WRV intake manifold flap issue
Summary of the thread
The 2021 diesel Honda WRV is experiencing issues such as reduced engine power, rough running, jerking during acceleration, a loud hissing sound, and decreased fuel economy. These symptoms suggest a potential problem with the intake manifold flap control. A faulty switch or component related to the intake manifold flap could be causing these issues. It is recommended to have a professional workshop diagnose and repair the problem to restore the vehicle's performance.

Yeah, the engine light came on a while ago. You mentioned airflow control and the flap. Did you have jerking and rough running, or just the power loss and hissing? Was your fuel consumption a lot worse too?

Okay, the engine light confirms it for me. I had all the same issues! Jerking, rough idle, the whole thing. I tried a few things, but I ended up taking it to a shop. It's best to let them handle it. Save yourself the trouble.

Thanks, that confirms it. I'll go straight to a workshop for them to check it out. They quoted about 465€ to fix the intake manifold flap control.

Whoa, that sounds familiar! I drive a WRV too. Less power and that hissing sound... Was the engine light on? Could it be airflow control or the flap itself?
