No, there have been no impacts or any kind of damage to the front. Could it be anything else besides a dirty sensor?

It's tough to say for sure without proper diagnostics. If it's not damage and cleaning doesn't resolve it, it could be a faulty sensor or a wiring issue. Best to take it to a workshop to get it checked. They will have the tools to properly diagnose it.

Thank you for the advice. It turned out to be a dirty sensor. Cleaning it resolved the issue. Repair cost: 45€.

Hmm, I had a similar issue with my Volvo a while back, although the symptoms sound pretty generic. Adaptive cruise and collision avoidance went completely haywire. Was yours preceded by any impacts or damage to the front of the car?
