X Klasse GPS Antenna Problem
Summary of the thread
A 2017 Mercedes X Klasse experienced a malfunctioning navigation system due to a defective GPS antenna, confirmed by an error memory indicating a lack of GPS reception. A similar issue was resolved by checking the antenna connection for corrosion, which was found near the antenna's base under the headliner. Cleaning the corroded connector restored the navigation system's functionality, eliminating the need for part replacement.

Can you tell me where the antenna connection you inspected is located? I want to check for corrosion. Was your error message also about the GPS antenna?

The antenna connection is near the antenna's base, under the headliner. You'll need to remove some trim to access it. My error message was related to the GPS antenna. If you're not comfortable doing it yourself, a workshop can diagnose it quickly.

I inspected the antenna connection and found corrosion. After cleaning the connector, the navigation system works perfectly. I appreciate the help and won't replace the part now. Thank you!

I had a similar issue with my X Klasse where the car GPS stopped working suddenly. Check the antenna connection in the back for corrosion. Also, have you installed anything new that might be causing vehicle GPS or car navigation signal interference?
