Turbo lag, yeah, that's a good way to describe it. What does that mean exactly? And where do I find the boost solenoid to check it?

Turbo lag means the car hesitates when you accelerate. Honestly, with those symptoms on a newer car, it could be a faulty vacuum switching valve. I'd get it checked by a workshop rather than poking around yourself.

Thanks for the advice! Took it to the shop and you were spot on. It was indeed a defect in the vacuum switching valve. Repair cost was 140€. Runs like new now!

Sounds like a boost issue. I had similar symptoms on my car. Could be a pressure sensor or a dodgy boost solenoid. Any turbo lag before the power loss?
