XC40 Gear Display and Cruise Control Problems

I'm having a weird issue with my 2019 Volvo XC40 hybrid. It's got about 37k km on the clock. The other day I started getting an error stored in the error memory. Then I noticed the gear selection wasn't showing in the speedometer, and the cruise control stopped working. Now sometimes it just won't start at all! I scanned it and I'm wondering if a bad clutch pedal switch would cause all this chaos? Anyone seen anything similar? I even wiggled the cable and plug and it seemed to help for a short time, so I suspect the cable or plug connection of the component is defective.

For me, it was the clutch switch connection, just like you suspected. I cleaned the contacts but it kept happening. Honestly, after messing with it for an afternoon, I bit the bullet and took it to the shop. They replaced the switch and, touch wood, it's been perfect since. Saved myself a bigger headache in the long run. I spent 95€ in the end.
