XC40 Low Voltage Error

I've got a 2020 Volvo XC40 hybrid with 207249 km and I'm running into trouble. I'm getting a 'low voltage' error in the speedometer, confirmed in the error memory. The battery seems weak when starting, and there's a general electrical malfunction feeling. It seems like the auxiliary battery isn't charging. Has anyone else experienced something similar?

I had a similar problem with my XC40. Does the error show up consistently, or just intermittently? Have you checked the voltage of the auxiliary battery itself?

Thanks for the quick reply! The error pops up pretty consistently now, especially on shorter trips. I haven't checked the voltage of the auxiliary battery directly, I am not very tech-savvy, but I can try to ask a friend. Where is it located?

Mine was intermittent at first and then became constant. I'd suggest having a workshop take a look. In my case, the aux battery was completely shot. I'd get it checked out to avoid further issues.

Thanks, appreciate the advice. I took it to the workshop and they confirmed it was the auxiliary battery. Cost me 290€ to replace. All good now!
