Throttle body connections were inspected; no visible corrosion or looseness. Resistance measurements were within spec. Recent maintenance was limited to scheduled oil and filter changes. Any other insights based on your experience?

Okay, since you've checked the obvious electrical connections and resistances, and recent maintenance wasn't a factor, I'd recommend a workshop visit for deeper diagnostics. That's what I did, and it turned out to be a partially broken wire in the harness.

Understood. Following your suggestion, a workshop visit confirmed a defective cable connection. Repair cost was 95€. Thank you for the advice.

I had a similar cruise control issue with my XC60. Have you checked the throttle body connections? A loose or corroded connector there can sometimes cause that error. Was there any maintenance done recently?
