XC60 Electrical Malfunction and Navigation Failure

I'm having some weird issues with my 2011 Volvo XC60 gasoline. It's got about 233k km on it. I'm getting a general electrical malfunction error and the navigation is completely dead. Pulled the codes and it seems like the control unit programming is implausible. Sounds like a software glitch? Anyone else run into this? The error memory is full of it. Quote is 240€ for a software recalibration.

Interesting. I've got an XC60, though I haven't had exactly the same issues. I did have some weird electrical gremlins a while back, along with error messages. Did it start happening after any specific event, like a battery replacement or a service?

No, nothing like that. Just started happening out of the blue one morning. Everything was fine the night before. Could a software reset solve this?

From my experience, it does sound a lot like the issue I had. While a reset might help, it didn't do much for me. The workshop ended up doing a full software recalibration of the control unit. I think you're on the right track, and unfortunately, a trip to the shop is probably necessary.

Thanks for the info! I appreciate you sharing your experience. Looks like I'll be booking it in for the software recalibration. Fingers crossed that solves it!
