XC60 Fog Sensor Issues

Alright Volvo gurus, I'm pulling my hair out! My 2020 XC60 diesel is throwing a fit with the fog sensor. I'm getting an error stored, the AC refuses to kick on, the windshield washer jets are frozen solid (even when it's not that cold), and the mirror heaters are MIA. Sounds like a party, right? Anyone seen this before? I'm guessing it's some sort of electrical gremlin, but where do I even start poking around?

I had a similar issue with my XC60 a while back. Those symptoms point to a potential issue with the fog sensor's wiring or connector. Check the cable and plug connections going to the sensor itself. If there's corrosion or damage, that could be your culprit.

Thanks for the tip! Where exactly is the fog sensor located? I've had a quick peek around but can't seem to spot the little devil.

Okay, I just had a look in my repair notes and it looks like you may be better off going to a workshop. I was able to solve my fog sensor issue by wiggling the cables, but I think it would be best if a professional does this. You can ask them to measure the cable, and if it turns out to be broken, they can replace it for around 95€.

That's brilliant, thanks a million for the advice! I'll book it into the shop and get them to check the wiring and connections. Hopefully, it's something simple like that, and I can get my AC back before summer hits!
