I visually inspected the connector, but didn't do any electrical testing. Was the defective connection causing your heating issue as well?

Yes, the symptoms were nearly identical. While a faulty connection is possible, I'd advise having the valve itself checked professionally. In my case, the valve was defective and needed replacement. Based on your description, I would recommend a visit to a workshop.

Thanks. I'll get a professional diagnosis. It turned out to be the water valve. The repair cost was 95€.

I had a similar problem with my XC60's heating system. The symptoms you describe match what I experienced. Did you check the valve's electrical connector for corrosion or damage?
