XC60 Start Stop Issue

My 2023 Volvo XC60 gasoline engine has a weird problem. The start-stop isn't working! I've got 71622 km on it. The error memory has stored an error, the engine shuts off sometimes when it shouldn't, and the speedometer shows a warning light. Could it be a discharged battery?

I had a similar issue with my XC60. Does it happen mostly during short trips? How old is your car battery? The start-stop system is pretty sensitive to battery health. If the car thinks the battery is too weak to restart the engine, it will disable the system.

Yeah, mostly short trips! How did you fix it? Was it actually the battery? The manual mentions "Eco mode" and not working if the battery is low, but i'm not sure

Turns out, it was the battery. The car was still starting fine, but the start-stop system was the first sign of trouble. I replaced the battery, and the problem went away immediately. I'd suggest taking it to a workshop to get the battery properly tested.
