XC60 Tire Pressure Sensor Fault
Summary of the thread
A 2020 Volvo XC60 hybrid is experiencing a persistent 'Tire pressure too low' warning despite correct tire inflation, suggesting a tire pressure sensor issue. The problem could be due to a faulty sensor battery or a corroded air valve. Checking the air valve for corrosion or sticking is recommended, but if the sensor battery is suspected, a workshop visit for sensor replacement may be necessary.

Thanks, I haven't checked the air valve itself. Is that easy to do, or are special tools needed? Could that trigger a complete sensor failure?

It's worth a quick look to see if it seems stuck. More likely, if you suspect the sensor battery, it's probably that. I took mine to a workshop; they confirmed it and replaced the sensor, saving me hassle.

Appreciate the insight. A workshop visit was needed. New sensor fitted, total cost 280€. Thanks again for the advice!

I had something similar with my XC60. Those sensors can be a pain. Have you checked the air valve itself? Sometimes they corrode or get a bit stuck, giving false readings.
