XC70 Engine Starting Problem

The computer is so sensitive to voltage fluctuations that even slight corrosion can cause havoc. Have you checked all grounding points, not just the battery terminals?

Chasing every ground point is tough. But I remember one specific ground being corroded: the ground connection from the engine block to the chassis. If that's good, bring it to a shop with engine diagnostics tools. These systems are complex, and it's easy to waste money replacing parts without fixing the real problem.
