XC70 Manifold Pressure Sensor Issue

I'm having issues with my 2011 Volvo XC70 diesel. The check engine light illuminates intermittently, with reduced engine power, poor response, and increased fuel consumption. The car has 198618 km on the clock. I suspect a faulty manifold pressure sensor. Could this be due to a large vacuum leakage?

Sounds familiar! I had similar symptoms with my XC70. Have you checked the MAP sensor? It might be worth a look.

Thanks! So, you're suggesting a potential sensor failure? Did the MAP sensor replacement resolve the issues in your case?

Definitely points to a sensor issue. I had the same symptoms and replacing the sensor did the trick. Get it checked at a workshop, could save you a headache figuring it out yourself.

Appreciate the confirmation and advice. I took it to the workshop, and indeed, the manifold pressure sensor was faulty. After sensor replacement, the errors are gone, and the XC70 drives like new. Repair cost: 235€ Thanks again!
