XC70 rough running engine light

Hi, I'm having a weird issue with my 2002 Volvo XC70 diesel. It's got about 104k km on it. The engine's running rough, and the check engine light is on. I pulled the codes and it's showing something about "reset quantity drift compensation." I'm thinking it might be related to a faulty injector. Anyone else run into this?

Whoa, that sounds familiar! I've got an XC70 too, and I had similar symptoms last year – rough running and a check engine light. What exactly does the error memory say? Did you check airflow sensors?

The error memory specifically says "reset quantity drift compensation." I haven't checked the airflow sensors yet, to be honest. Where exactly are they located, and is there an easy way to test them? Any particular values I should be looking for?

Okay, "reset quantity drift compensation" is exactly what I had! Man, that was a pain. I'm not super techy, so I ended up taking mine to a shop. They told me it was an injector issue and reset the compensation adjustment, but it didn't fully fix it. They ended up replacing the injector. Honestly, I'd recommend getting it checked out by a pro. Could save you a lot of headache!

Thanks for the info! Sounds like I'm on the right track suspecting the injectors. I'll take it to my local mechanic. They quoted me around 515€ for injector replacement. Hopefully, that'll sort it out.
